what are RIPSPEED like at Car Audio?

Have a look at (EDIT: one sec, just checking if theyre a competitor) and see how much RIPOFFSPEED are ripping the ballbag out of it when it comes to price ;)

That player is based on internals a lot of companies seem to be using at the moment, its just the face plate that changes "and even then only slightly" I have one in my car made by H&B and its ok but i paid £60 for it from a well known online computer store. Its absolutely not worth as much as ripspeed are asking.

LOL Ripspeed,

biggest waste of a brand name ever

anyone remember the old ripspeed brand :)

Yep, I remember Ripspeed, they had a shop in Edmonton. Back then it was not a bad place. Then halfrauds bought the company (or name) and merchandised its tat under the ripspeed brand.
Its a bit like the Ministry Of Sound audio gear, tat with a weel known brand.

might have to go for an alpine/pioneer then :p

i really liked the idea of the USB port and 3.5mm jack on there

anyone know off hand what alpine/pioneer models have these?

3.5mm jack is so 80's ;)

Some JVC units have the USB front connector don't think any Pioneer / Alpine ones do, just get an ipod + interface
