Haven't played anything much tbh, I played Space Colony years ago, which I enjoyed, recently I downloaded a free indie/amateur rts called fortify and enjoyed it a lot even though basic 2D graphics. I think I played commando? a few years back, think I buy SC again and have a go, I think C & C is the big one though.

If you haven't played it, then Age of Empires. I'm a particular fan of Age of Empires 1: Rise of Rome.

I know AoE II is much loved, but it never really did it for me.

I also like the AoE III games, but do think 1 is the best one. And for me personally, the graphics still look allright.

It's a pity they stopped the age of empires online I liked that a lot not found anything to replace it aoe 3 looks an feels so dated
