Hi all, I am with T-mobile and my upgrade is due on the 6th July. My htc Desire is now starting to play up and I was looking to upgrade early to a htc One X.

What I am wondering is for the sake of 5 weeks, will t-mobile allow me to upgrade early or will I have to wait. Have anyone successfully managed to get a slightly earlier upgrade with t-mobile. Im just curious as to what is my chances.

Thanks.

Anthony

I think they will allow you to upgrade early but last time i enquired, the deals they were giving me were absolutely horrendous ie no point in upgrading early as they wont give you much in terms of deals etc.

But that was a few yrs ago, best to ring them up and ask them.

I cancelled my contract with them this morning with over 5 months left. Got offered a deal briefly (I'd already ordered a new phone) before I got my PAC and then I got a call a few hours later from the management team (UK) or whatever who offered me the same contract I'm on now for £31pm with the HTC One X and no early cancellation charge. Still declined because the new offer's better.

Threaten to leave and they may well offer you something decent.

Ok thanks all for the advice, when I get 10 mins tomorrow I will give them a ring and I will see if they will do anything. It got to be worth a try. Thanks.

I cancelled my contract with them a couple of months early. I was having problems with my Motorola phone and had contacted them about an early upgrade to an HTC One S. Didn't want to know and nothing they could do. Signed up with Three and then requested my PAC code. There was a different tune at T-Mob then. All sorts of offers were offered and I had a load of credit towards a new phone which was never mentioned before. That said I was off to Three anyway as their signal was better and I was having problems with T-Mobile and Orange signal switching all the time at home.

Offers from T-Mob were no better than I was getting at Three anyway. Seems you need to request a PAC code and then see what happens.

In exactly the same situation myself, they offered me absolute garbage. Been with them 5 years and they still wouldn't do anything for me, wouldn't even price-match the Phones4u One X deal.

Decided to leave and use GiffGaff for a bit until a new device comes out I really want, though the SIM is taking AGES to turn up I'm worried I won't be able to use my PAC code in time :/.
