bit of a noobish question this :o , My new motherboard (Intel D975XBX) supports ddr2 667 memory, now when conroe comes out I want to try overclocking it, now do I just go out and buy decent quality ddr2 667 ram, or, would it be more advantagous for me to get ddr2 800 even tho my motherboard does'nt support ddr2 800 it should still work in my motherbaord fine but run at a slower 667 (?), and then when I overclock the fsb rasing the memory clock my mem should be safe, am I talking complete ****, or is this right :)

If you have the dough, you will see benefits from the faster ram. It may not be officially supported by your motherboard, but that doesn't generally mean a great deal.
