What are the alternatives to a Tesla Model Y?

I've been toying with the idea of changing my car and yesterday, for my sins, I had a test drive in the Tesla Model Y RWD (non-long range) and I have to admit it absolutely blew my socks off!

The cabin is huge, the boot space is cavernous and the performance was incredible!

I've never considered a full EV before (the closest I've had previously was a mild hybrid) and so I've not really done any research into other makes/models - is there anything else out there that I should be considering in terms of an equivalent size vehicle with this sort of performance?

BYD equivalent I believe, the model escapes me.

What car did a 3 car test with the new model y, BYD sealion 7 and the IM6 last month, that may give you some more information. I would also add the Enyaq, but the Model Y is in a pretty crowded market so have a read of a few reviews etc. Personally I had a go with the Model Y launch edition, didn't ride as nice or as comfy as my ioniq 5, but nothing that would put me off tbh, if you don't mind the minimalist cabin etc then I think its a one of the best in class.

Enyaq,ID4,ID7, ionic 5, EV6 to name a few. Tesla does the EV thing the best, but it’s also not the prettiest and Elon etc.
