Im debating what broadband package to go for next some offer 1.3mb upload while others offer 2.5mb , obviously the main benefit of higher UL speed is uploading faster lol but are there any other benefits ? i think i read years ago that it can reduce online gaming ping , is this true ?

any one got any facts for me ? :)

ok so unless your into say "filesharing" which im not anymore then higher upload speeds are pretty much useless to me as a online gamer and some one that downloads but not fileshares ?

Unless you upload stuff a higher upload speed doesn't have much value, no. You don't have to be a "filesharer" though...

I have an AnnexM connection and the 2.5mbit up does help a lot with things like VPN to work. If you have remote working facilities saving files etc is much more bearable with higher upload.
Stuff like go-to-my-pc, MSN file sending, sending of Emails with attachments will benefit. Not that anyone *needs* it but if you can afford it then it will make a fair few things run faster.
