Pretty much as the title states - have a budget of around £100. Ideally looking to stream 1080p mkv from my pc upstairs to my network enabled tv downstairs. Previously used ethernet but just moved into a new house and thats not really viable.

I have found the Netgear Powerline Adapter XAVB5001 for 89.99 for the set of two. Are these any good?

Any other suggestions?

i brought some cheap homeplugs on the MM over 12 months ago. they were origionally a budget range which brand new cost £40. they are 200mb pass through plugs and i'm using my 50mb broadband with them and have been rock solid.

constantly getting my full 6.3mbps download speed.

buying the highest priced are not always the best ones to get. it all depends on your electrics

well went for the ones listed above. easy to install, literally plug and play. even connected to a power strip at each end, i can easily stream a 1080p mkv to the tv no problems. so a little pricey but works perfectly
