I'm actually considering a 1440p eyefinity setup so 3x1440p monitors on a triple monitor stand like the Neptune in the store.
My main concern is multi-monitor functionality rather than actual gaming, but that is a potential and desirable bonus. It may suit me that just the center screen is freesync/120-144hz and the left and right are of a lesser spec but with the same or very similar styling at the same resolution of 1440p, for example 60hz or something like that.
I do not know how versatile freesync is and if it can support different refresh rates on differently speced monitors in an eyefinity package. If anyone can fill me in on that, t'would be cool (AMDMatt?)
Upgrade will be done at around the time of Zen, so I have about a year to sort all of this out. What monitors should I currently be looking at and what are on the horizon?
I may get a few monitors sooner as both my 24" Samsungs now have dead powerboards which is why I'm putting out the feelers now.
I'm thinking around the 28" mark for size but can go all the way up to 32" with the neptune. My budget at the moment is around £1500 for 3 monitors and the stand, but this is fairly fluid.
Any recommendations?
