What are the differences in these two Wifi Extender/access points???

Yes, I gathered that from the names but what are the actual differences?

From the looks of things they both have a network socket and can be hooked up to your router or whatever and then provide a wifi point....
 
They'll both work as wired access points.

They then have other modes they'll work it. The TL-WA730RE will also work as a wireless extender. The TL-WA701ND won't work as an extender, but does have a number of other modes available. The full list of wireless modes available for each model are listed on the TP-Link website.
 
Hmmm, having had a look, I'm still unsure as to which would suit me best.

It will be connected to the router via cable and I just want it to improve the wifi coverage in the upstairs of the house. I guess the WA730RE might be the best option as the extender mode could be handy if I need to extend the wifi somewhere were network cables can't be run?
