What are the hoses on these Honda throttle bodies?

The twin pair of hoses connecting each bank, what are these for?
Is it some kind of idle control? The section between each of the pairs of throttle bodies cyl 1-2 and cyl 3-4 also looks like it has something going on there, any ideas? Just to save casting metal, or does it have a function.

It's a vacuum line. You hook up to these to balance the throttle bodies (by making sure they pull the same vacuum). They are usually capped rather than a hose connecting the two, perhaps to balance the vacuum across.

They are air bleed pipes for the idle control circuit. One of the throttle bodies has the idle control motor and valve mechanism on it, those pipes just link the other two cylinders to the valve assembly.

Don't look at honda throttle bodies too much they have weird witchcraft in them.

My vfr had a little pot of wax to melt for its cold start mechanism :D
