Yes and no. Gordon Brown claimed Prudence would solve boom and bust, well she never did. Eruptions of union action are like volcanos, periodical. They seem to occur when a government is in trouble elsewhere and need a Maggie to resolve. You can throw twice as much money at the NHS and it would not be enough. It has outgrown it's original brief by some margin. Immigration is an international shambles. Everyone breaks the rules but few admit to it. The police are as good as the people they serve. I feel very good in general.
