Been noticing some spots for a while in blue sky shots but they seem to be getting worse & virtually the entire image is now covered in them. Does the sensor need cleaning? I thought the D610 fixed oil leaking onto the sensor.

They're more prevalent after adjusting the gamma to suit this shot.

Here is the fixed Shot. It took ages to spot remove these in Lightroom esp as I have an old PC.
Did I miss a spot haha.

Ah thought it was dust thanks. Had it 4yrs & keep switching between 35/50mm lenses as hate zooms.
I'll Google how easy it is clean or take it be done properly.

I've used the rocket blower loads etc. & theres still dust, before biting the bullet & getting a cleaning kit...
Being very careful, could a hoover pipe on suck be placed a few inches from the sensor?

Crikey, my 610 maybe 4yrs old with 8000 actuations but the risk of wrecking the sensor is rather scary & would be expensive to replace. I think I'll take it a repair shop as the mirror is also dirty, maybe the time I fell over in the mud lol.
I like Nikon & the Sigma art 35mm is awesome.

Thanks, yeah the D600 had oil issues on the sensor but the D610 supposed to have fixed that
Fortunately it looks like I just have dust on the image, likely due to changing the lens a few dozen times over 4 years.
Although, if my D610 did have a manufacturing fault I don't know where I'd stand after 4 years.
I'm taking it a local repair shop next week to get the sensor & mirror cleaned for £30, I'll ask them about the state of the inside too.

It looks like something has been going on inside & I can even see lots of dust in there.

As far as I can tell there are just dust spots on the sensor, although I swear pictures taken lately with the same lens/aperture/light are not as sharp as they used to be.
