What are these components for?

So I was cleaning my computer the other day, and accidentally knocked a few of these components off. To my surprise the card still works fine, which makes me wonder what these components are actually for?

Those could be tiny capacitors, resistors or diodes. Unclear from the picture.

I am also surprised the card works fine! It's away from the most important parts so they're likely for some minor functionality. It's possible that you got lucky and that those parts actually didn't do anything, possible but unlikely

cleaning vaping liquid that had settled on the card, must have corroded the solder im guessing.

My guess is they are for one of the ports on the card?

Those are flux capacitors.

Surface mount capacitors and resistors.

And yeah, I'd check all the ports for video/audio.

Given the placement, probably something to do with the display outputs (Likely displayport or hdmi).

Yeah thats what im thinking. The card is working fine with the ports im using right now, so I'll just leave it as it is.

I once did this to an X1600 Pro, didn't seem to affect it in any way, I even sold it to a friend who had it for years with no issues

If you're lucky its just affected one of the ports your not using.

Next time be more bloomin careful

EDIT: You should check the other ports so you know what's what for selling it on in the future.
