Basically i need a new Monitor this year, its on its last legs. and my Big 32" widescreen is too big for my room, so decided to downgrade that to save space, was thinking of replacing the 32" to a 17" LCD or something

then i came accross these LCDs with built in TV tuners, but what is the quality like on them ?

thanks

Not sure why no one has replied I have a 19" Samsung which is used as a tv and a pc monitor, does the job fine for both, cost £300 and is fully equipped for high definition.

Hi mate

I am not sure what you have... Is it just a TFT? or is it one of them built in TV tuners? if its the later, whats the TV quality like?

Is it worth getting one HD ready?

What i mean is, i suppose the TV quality would be a huge difference once it's enabled or what ever it will do ?

I will probabally get one in the Summer, or will try and hold of longer, but this 32" widescreen TV on this desk gets in the way, when i want to watch a film in surround sound, i need to shift the TV to the centre and clear my desk. lol

I had a look in John Lewis today and, I walked around, and then I noticed the Plasma screens etc, then i thought of these LCD/TV screens, so I had a look (the busiest place in the store!!) and they have a few on display, the quality of the TV wasen't too bad, not as good as a normal TV though! it was grainy, i noticed a lot of grain on the screen, was hopeing a bit better than that, i'll have to look somewhere to get a more of an idea.

to be honest though, i dont really want 2 screens in my room, so i might be forced to get one anyway...
