What are these performance spikes?

I have just taken delivery today of a 1070ti Strix from a fourm member here.

Just wondering what these boost speeds changing are, considering there is no load and minimal usage on the PC.

Yes mate, have 7-8 chrome tabs open, mail, itunes etc..

Thanks mate, went for a bite to eat, when I came back the usage was right down low with no spikes. So im sure your right regarding system usage.
