Listing interests and max cost would help.
The wife and I are going to San Fran and Vegas in Feb so we've decided not to get each other anything and treat ourselves to a Grand Canyon helicopter ride instead.
As for parents despite for the last 10+ years of us saying we don't want anything they always do we've said if you could get a few dollars so we have some cab money from the airport.
