Lol... can be any instrument... just what you are learning... can help when i get stuck or bored for new inspiration.

i know its cheesey but im playing iron maiden at the moment:p.. lol especially the wicker man and their new song

love just playing rock songs occasionally.. rocking out in the bedroom :p its the only.

ive just come out of a weird phase i think
 
i get like that sometimes.

i think im in a bit of a lull at the moment... im playing iron maiden but it isnt all great. a few weeks ago though i was obsessed and i was really good...

now i seem to think im crap so im not really giving it my all.

im trying to give some sweep picking a go but im hopeless at it... ive played classic rock/indie for so long i seem to be fixed...i want to be able to do the steve vai stuff but my fingers lack the co-ordination... im not sure how to practice it either...

i know what to do.. its just so hard.

can i practice sweeping with scales?

i really need to brush up on all my theory really...

think i might go back over arpeggios.and some minor scales.:( fed up :p

sick of playing along with songs... no offence but they seem to easy...all the traditional classics that we play... think im going to go back to the drawing board for a while... get some revising done on the guitar :p

think not being in a band is whats doing my head in... havent been in one for about 2yr....

aww yeh! crossroads...

i was going o learn that bit about 2year ago... but i forgot.. and now ive been reminded again. lol

i remember seeing a lad do it (when i did music) and it sounded class
 
well i was up til about 2:30am practicing sweep picking...

i found this good video on youtube...marc seal... giving a beginner guide to it... it might not be high rate but its got me off to a flyer.

i;ve now got myself in a nice zone where i can sweep downwards... ill practice some sweeping up tonight. i've clicked again :p... trust me i wont stop practicing sweeping until i know it sounds good.

but at the moment its a very n00bish sounding sweep, makes you feel great when you are picking something up.
