Just wondered what your planned upgrades are..

My next two are :

1. New DVDRW drive, either the Benq 1655 or the Plextor 755
2. Acer 19" widescreen TFT :D

Last upgrade was memory, upped it to 2GB.

Got a nice opteron 146 on the way - trading for my X1800XT
after that i want a 300GB harddrive upping my total space to 631GB
Then i think im done for a while

My next upgrade wont be for a long time now, probably next year.
Ive recently bought 2gb ram, some good cooling for overclocking, a creative x-fi and a 7900gt. Oh and a 20" monitor
My pc should be good for a while, ive spent enough on it anyway!
After my exams in june, i might buy an xbox 360, that should be good for a few years :D , then a hdtv and a PS3 in november. So my pc isnt even going to sniff an upgrade for a long time.

What i got planned and what i have the money for is two very different things..

32" to 40" lcd TV
Xbox360
New case and PSU
Two 7900gtx in sli

Plus i need find the money for a new car and motorbike mixed in that lot somewhere..

priced up a grands worth of kit for the summer

1tb of hard disks (4x 250gb)
stacker 4in1 rack
32" HD tv

get my media rig up and running

as far as my actual spec goes, i'm fairly pleased with it...

A64 4000+ @ 2.6GHz (cooled with an Artic Freezer 64 Pro)
2GB G.Skill ZX
7800GT @ stock
DFI LanParty SLI-D motherboard
74GB Raptor
120GB Seagate Barracuda
580w Hiper Type-R PSU
All in an Antec Sonata I Case

outside the box i've got
Logitech X-530 5.1 Speakers
Logitech Ultra X Keyboard
Logitech MX510 Mouse
Logitech Quickcam Communicate Webcam
Logitech Dual Anologue RumblePad 2
(lots of Logitech :o)
and two monitors, a 15" LG Electronics (TFTLCD MNT) and a 15" Philips 150c4

out of that list, i want a better PSU... i've gone through two Hiper Type-R's and haven't been pleased with the build quality on either (i built my mates PC with the same PSU and his is good though, so i guess i've just had bad luck). Got a Seasonic 600W in mind...

replace the two monitors with one Samsung SM-930BF.

better cooling:
replace the stock case fan with an AKASA Ultra Quiet fan
change the stock cooler on the 7800GT to a Zalman VF700

other than minor improvements like that (okay new monitors isn't really minor)... i plan on getting a second 7800GT when the time is right. and a Lightscribe drive.

Buying an XBOX 360 back in December has completely killed my urge for spending money on upgrades for my PC.

It was mainly games that made me run out and upgrade but seeing as I don't play games on my PC anymore theres no need for me to it.

Unfortunately, I've just blown £470 on a laptop (always wanted one and handy for doing uni work on when round my girlfriends. Mum paid £200 towards it which is nice) and also £50 on a wireless router. Oh, also not forgetting £25 on a leather laptop case.

Mind you, if I was still ploughing money into my PC on upgrades I wouldn't be able to afford that lot.

About all the pc's getting is new keyboard & mouse and maybe a psu as i've already spent waaay too much on it :o
if the weather stops being cold for a bit i'm diverting time/money into getting my poor old gsxf running properly.

Next part-buying spree will involve a new monitor (maybe), a new HDD (certainly) and a vid card cooling upgrade (also certainly).
