As the title really...What is the app you use the most (apart from Internet Browser)?

Mine, at the moment has to be Parallels (I use WinSCP a lot and haven't found a decent alternative for OSX).

Knock, unlocks mac with your iphone. Thought it would be a gimmick but I now use it all the time.

MacID, same kind of thing but uses the fingerprint sensor so more secure.

Universal Media Server, beams movies to my tv no problemo.

Remote Mouse, lets me dump the mac in my cabinet and control it from my phone if my web is down and I have to use an hdmi cable.

I tried Guardian Angel and it didn't work at all, this looks good though!

The only thing is, leaving bluetooth on screws with wifi on Yosemite.

Never heard of guardian angel. Never had a problem with wifi or bluetooth on Yosemite either. In fact, on Mavericks the wifi would often refuse to reconnect on waking the mac, I'd have to switch my router on and off. Doing anything to the mac made zero difference. It's fixed on Yosemite so not sure what it was all about.

Also, you'll find knock is crap at first. It seems to take a while to settle but at first it takes a long time to connect and it's quicker to enter a password. After a day or so it seems to get much, much better.

f.lux, bettersnaptool, hyperdock, soundbunny.

The fact that OSX still does not have soundbunny's functionality baffles me.

How people work long days in front of computers without flux, I cannot understand. The difference it makes to how your eyes feel at the end of the day is mindblowing.

Was supposed to post in response to this days ago, most popular choices for FTP/SFTP clients are Transmit (not free, expensive in fact) and Cyberduck (donationware, so free). Both are said to be decent.

Am I the only one that doesn't use f.lux then? It doesn't do anything for my eyes, just makes my screen go yellow. On my phone I can set it to a much less yellow tone whilst still being noticeably easier on my eyes but the 'whitest' it will go on my mac is too yellow still.

One program I cant live without and sadly struggling to find a decent Windows equivalent is:

Subler - A great program for adding artwork and Metadata for films.

I think it depends on your environment?

Like right now I have all the lights off and only have laptop light and light off the projector. So in dark environments its handy. My eyes start to strain almost straight away if I turn it off.

This is pretty much how I sit most evenings :)

That's how I've been using it too, just the light from my TV lighting the room. On my phone I quickly get used to the color tone but that moment never seems to come on the mac. 48k seems to look very different on both, it's what I have my phone set to but it's way too yellow on the mac.
