Hi all, thinking of upgrading my mobo/CPU/Ram and going for a SSD. Im looking at the i7-3770K CPU, memory not yet decided on but will be 16gb (2 x 8 for duel chanel). My question is I have an EVGA GTX680 FTW 4gb and im looking to SLi them. I have a SoundBlaster card (see one in link, its the same size http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-085-CL&groupid=701&catid=11&subcat= ) and want to know whats the best Asus motherboard that I can SLi two GPU's while still be able to fit the soundcard in as well?

Case is not an issue, loads of room. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-261-LL&groupid=2362&catid=187&subcat=

I have had a look at the pics of the motherboards but they all seem to have very little space to play with between the lanes.

Thanks in advance. :)

Dont really have one. I only get to upgrade my PC once in a blue moon these days (called being married!!!!) so I tend to get the best I can get at the time and hope it will do me for another 4 years. I guess im looking to spend around £1.5k.

Sorry, shoud also mention I will prolly be O/C the CPU to around 4.5GHz.

ROG Maximus V Formula. Great clocker helped me set a few records. Really stable. I would also suggest to go with GSKILL RAM with ASUS boards. Very compatible and all the bios engineers use GSKILL when benching.

Ive already purchased some corsair vengeance lp 8 Pack. All the parts are sitting on my desk ready to assemble this weekend. Hopefully the vengeance will be ok. If i have any issues ill look into the gskill range. Seen a few users on here saying about issues with corsair and asus. Things must have changed with those two companies a bit, i remember a few years back, corsair was thee reccomended ram for asus boards.

Thanks a lot for your replys all. I think the Sabretooth is looking in top position at the mo.

BrianB, you ask why just Asus. I have owned all sorts in the past, ABIT, Gigabyte, Asus and others. I just prefer Asus boards. Like the quality and feel of them.

8 Pack - im a Corsair mamory fan, always liked thier kit. I will have a look into GSKILL.:)
