I have been using the built in cd burning software within OS X and today is my first time buring cd's on this MBP and i have found it very slow. Is there a better cd burning software or would it not make it any faster?

Cheers

The inbuilt burner will burn at the maximum unless you tell it otherwise, so other software won't help, you are limited by the hardware.

That what I though.

But just though would other software act quicker at doing jobs. Like when after burning it scan the disk doesnt it? Does this work quicker on a different software. Sorry to sound like noob

You can tell it to skip the verify if you don't want to wait.

Try Disco which seems to be the new big thing and see if that is any better for you.

The inbuilt system goes as fast as your built in CD/DVD writer will go. you can skip the verification process if you want which will speed things up a treat.

Disco is a standalone app - but is more eye candy than use in places.

You could always get Toast, it's a nice looking app which will burn at your max speed and has a whole load of built in extras which im often glad of. K
