what better setup

Hi All,

looking to buy a new motherboard and cpu next week. fingers crossed.

I been looking at these below.

Intel Core i7 950 3.06GHz (Bloomfield) (Socket LGA1366) to go with
Gigabyte GA-X58-USB3 Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard

Or these

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 to go with
Gigabyte Z68X-UD4 Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard

I will be using a water cooled loop along with 12 gig of Corsair Vengeance Blue DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz

Psu is a 650 Corsair TX
Gfx is a 26o GTX also water cooled

2500K every time.

And you'll need dual channel RAM with a 2500K so 4, 8 or 16GB.

i7 950 v i5 2500K

Though if it's to replace the rig in your signature I wouldn't bother.

Either my motherboard or cpu is failing, as I have lost the use of ddr3_1 slot.
so might as well replace both at same time, cant be arsed waiting 5 to 10 days for gigabyte to rma the board to find out it was the cpu.lol

just dont know what way to go I7 or The I5 as above
system is running 24/7 and at most does some bfbc2 gaming and some d/l.
along with normal surf and email
