Was just wondering if anyone here reads blogs? And what blogs you read?

Interested in seeing what the people of OcUK read and whether any of it is worth checking out.

I'd be interested too. I've never read any blogs and would be interested to know if there are any out there worth reading.

Actually I tried reading one of the lecturers blogs, well actually he was more of a PhD student that worked and helped us first year students in my uni course. I tell you what, it was the MOST boring, most ridiculously dull piece of internet I ever read. I mean seriously, he was possibly the biggest nerd I have ever encountered in my life. I know I'm pretty geeky, but some of the stuff he wrote about I wouldn't even admit to my best friend, never mind write about it in an online blog.

But, each to their own I suppose. I sure hope he doesn't have a girlfriend. Poor lass :D

He seemed a decent enough bloke in the flesh but he had zero sense of humour.

if anyone posts any links could you please ensure that the contents are suitable for a family forum please :)

I only know of a couple, one of them was a developer on a game I used to play a while ago: root/khlo/cow. Never bothered reading it often, since it's just full of tech stuff, nothing about his life.

Just had a look and managed to find out what his name is on the uni website. Unfortunately it seems he stopped writing it and then started a new one so I can't find his old one anymore.

It was more of a diary than a blog really, but it still made for grim reading. He's a bus spotter by hobby and most of it was just him talking about the latest place he's been to spot buses and of course pictures too. He's talk about where the best places are for spotting buses. To be honest the pictures of really vintage buses he had looked cool, but he had pictures of coaches and modern normal public transport?

I've often had to ask the guy to sign off my coursework to get feedback and my god, the guy bores the pants off me and I am normally fairly tollerant of boring people.

Here's the link to his new one, it's just a diary though and still not very interesting.

blog from a tailor who works on saville row, can't remember how or why i started reading it, but i've found it fascinating the skill and craft that goes into making a bespoke suit.

guy who works for microsoft in the xbox division ( i think), though i mainly listen to the podcasts he does, it's interesting hearing interviews with game developers and other people who work on the xbox.
