Since the new BIOS turned my Striker II Extreme into a paper weight, I figured I could either look on it as an opporunity, or go on an Axe murdering rampage.
So, now that it seems everyone was right and that Asus have lost the plot, the striker II extreme is a crock, and I'm a moron for buying one.......what to do?
A need a board with.....
Socket 775, supporting current and upcomming quads.
DDR3 support up to at least 1600, preferably more.
Lots of SATA
No flakey beta BIOS updates passed off as final.
No flamin FSB holes
All round overclocking friendiness.
Do not want...........
SLI/Crossfire (if board IS stuck with one of these, fine, but having read on here that SLI/Crossfire are just a scam unless you're playing one of the 3 games that actually use it right, I'm never gonna be so daft as to use it).
Anything weird or poorly supported.
Another Asus (ever)
Any suggestions?
Cheaper would be better as I will have to pay up for this then flog the SIIe.
