Hi I'm looking to get a decent pair of speakers to hook up to my pc via something like a Nad d 3020i.

Uses:

Music mainly.
Alittle gaming and movies.

Would like them to be good looking to if possible.

New or used for around £200 is fine.

New set that caught my eye were the Q Acoustics 2020i in either gloss white or gloss black.

Thanks in advance.

I just got a pair of the Q Acoustic 2010i and they're fantastic. Hooked up to a Marantz CR-510, they are dinky things but look and sound great. I got the walnut finish because they were 50 quid cheaper than the gloss versions. Great value at 130 quid. Perfect size for my living room (standard Victorian terrace) really. I imagine the 2020i are even better, they both seem to get great reviews everywhere.

Monitor Audio Bronze BX1

I'd just arrange a demo at richersounds if there's one nearby and test out a range of speakers with your amp

I've recently bought some zensor 3s. Maybe slightly over your budget but you get a lot for your money. They have a bigger driver than anything/majority? under its price.
For music there was a definite improvement in detail and were so much nicer to listen to than anything else I demoed at the time. From MA BX2s to the sensor 5s.

I would looking into demoing the following;

Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 (I would stay away from the floor standers, the money is going on the bigger cabinet and lessor drive units. Generally until you start spending above £500 on floor standers you'll will get better bookshelfs with better drivers)

Q Acoustic 2020i (if these were surrounds then the 2010i but seeing as the 2020i are in budget and are going to be your only pair I would be going this way)

Zensor 1

If you can stretch your budget then look at;
Zensor 3 (has the tweeter from the zensor 1 but the driver of the zensor 7 which is bigger than all the rest mentioned)

Monitor Audio BX2 (I wouldn't bother with the BX1 the extra spend on the BX2 will be worth it)

You need to demo though, the above is probably bias from what I own but also personal experience. I was set on getting some MA BX5 but walked away with the cheaper bookshelf zensors. I found the BX series to be harsh on my ears and I didn't enjoy listening.
