after reading THIS thread i have now got a bit worried about what RAM to go for, i was originally going to got for the 2GB Geil but then seen people where doing better/having more luck in general, with the Corsair stuff.

ill be getting the Asus P5W board along with an E6300.

what RAM would be better for me.

never overclocked before and may be inclined to do so this time but its not a 100% definate that i will be.

Well a lot of people have proven results with G Skill stuff also at the end of the day its luck of the draw and if you rnot doing much overclocking why dont you get some slightly cheaper stuff as you dont have to push it so hard

How many extra volts are you talking about?

I only ask I as I have 2Gb Geil 6400 at 932 - 5,5,5,15 & 2.2v and they are absolutely headbutting their top limit. That is unless I'm doing something very wrong which is possible.

I got 1040 @ 2.35vdimm with a fan over them for extra cooling wether they needed the xtra cooling i don't now....i was just making sure they were safe....but they are rated up to 2.3v without any extra cooling.
