What browser is superior?

There is no superior browser, some do things that others cannot, some are fast, some have additional functions built and some are customisable to the teeth etc etc.

Google Chrome.

It's fast. Simple. Easy to use. Good extensions. Syncs bookmarks and extensions with your Google account. And it has Flash built in. What more could you want?!

A better Bookmarks manager, bookmarks manager should also support separators otherwise organising bookmarks is a hassle. Not all high ranking extensions are on Chrome yet either (FireFTP for example).

(Resists temptation to weep over grammar).

The new Firefox 4 Beta 3 is great, I've been really pleased with it so far. I've been a FF user for years, then went to Chrome a few months ago, but the latest FF beta has drawn me back.

Was a die hard Opera user for awhile. But it didnt comply very well with a lot of sites. So switched to FF and used that for a few years.

Now after a period of Chrome+ I now just use Chrome. It does everything I will of it with a nice large sized browsing screen. The bookmark manager lacks a little, but I kept my FF bookmarks and Chrome took the bookmark bar right up. Would be nice to drag and drop bookmarks to the bar, but its easy to bookmark straight to it.

I've tried out Opera and was really happy with it for essentially the 'fit to width' option and the speed.

It makes me laugh when you get people who boycotted Firefox a while ago and love the speed of Chrome. Firefox has updated by a massive margin and I know in the 3.6 release it took over the speed of Chrome. That's backed up by Lifehacker analysis too.

I still prefer Firefox overall out of these three but have to say that if there's ever an issue I can always fall back on Internet Explorer because it always works on any platform I've tried.

Wow it pains me to say that.

I use pretty much all browsers. My preferred one is Safari. Lots of folk hate it with a misguided passion but its awesome. It's not the fastest but I'm not that interested in using the quickest browser by a few millseconds, I just like it's looks and functionality.

/cue the usual "Opera/Chrome/Firefox is better than Safari" geeks. :D

There is no 'superior' browser - it depends on what's most important for you. Chrome is fastest. Firefox is the most extensible and customisable. Opera has the most features out of the box. IE integrates best into Windows.

The only Windows choice I don't understand is Safari. It's like Chrome, but much more bloated and with a hideous non-native interface.

Google Chrome.

It's fast. Simple. Easy to use. Good extensions.

I'd be inclined to replace 'good' with 'very limited'. Firefox allows extensions to get under the hood of the browser in a way that Chrome just doesn't.

Oxy - have you tried IE 64-bit?

Easily the fastest browser I've used and I'm yet to find a credible 64-bit browser.

I still don't use it though. :D
