I'm looking to create a bootable USB stick or even Live CD, for using when I need to check a potential infected storage device. So I'm looking for an OS that is designed with security at it's core, and that is a lesser used OS, and therefore hopefully a less likely target for malware developers. So I thought that a BSD distribution might make sense. Specifically OpenBSD given it's focus on security and code auditing.
My question is, given my intended use case. Is there any better option for me other than OpenBSD?
