as of late I'm getting less out of it & I'm sic of my intel c2d setups so I'm going back to amd, here's what I'm looking at..

for some reason my c2d e6750 based system is not playing to well with cs or css, basically its had most of the components removed & replaced and its still *** same although my older amd x2 4400 works well hence my reasoning.

don't think it will be your c2d mate.
more probably the way it was put together.
intel over amd all the way.

The c2d system runs fine apart from steam games & it has nothing to do with the way it was built it just dislikes steam, the question was as stated for the above options. I'll never know what is up with the c2d but its annoying to say the least, but thanx for your view as its the same one I had before the board, memory, cpu, hsf & case were replaced

btw the samsung hd is the only thing original there.

anyway was looking at the ocuk am2 board, any experience of that

Get the 5000 black edition instead and clock it to 3.0GHz +++

sorry i've been on intel for a while now.
don't want to harp on but ask around, you may find a remedy without
the expense of an upgrade.
tho it is always nice to buy new stuff

you say your old amd stuff still works well.
is that a seperate comp?
if so are any of the components the same?

I have 3 pc's sitting at my desk but wanted to retire the amd & keep both intels but sadly things will be done in stages & swap things over a bit & see if my other c2d e6400 system works with some of the other kit before I go for a new system then.
