Slightly confused as to what cable I need to get an 3-screen eyefinity setup, do I need a "displayport-to-displayport" cable?

My GFX Card: Sapphire HD 6950 Dual Fan Edition 2Gb

... which has "Display Connectors: 1 x Dual-Link DVI-I, 1 x Single-Link DVI-D, 1 x HDMI, 1 x DisplayPort"

Monitor 1: 23" LG2363D

Monitor 2 and 3: Not purchased yet, but unlikely to get two more LG's, will probably opt for a cheaper option to sit either side of the LG that'll be in the middle.

... I'm not sure if my LG has a displayport on it, presumably one of the monitors needs this?

It really depends on what connections your other 2 monitors have when you get them and what type of monitors you get.

The LG monitor is 120Hz so you'll need to use the dual link DVI for that to be able to use 120Hz (it doesn't have DisplayPort).

Are you plannimg on getting 2 more 120Hz monitors or 60Hz monitors?

If you're planning on using eyefinity for gaming then presumably you'd be better off with 3 identical monitors.

If you get 2 more 120Hz monitors and want to use 120Hz then they'll need DisplayPort connections or you'll have to buy expensive (~£75) DisplayPort to dual link DVI adapters. (Edit: just noticed this wouldn't work if your graphics card does only have 1 DisplayPort connection).

If you get 2 60Hz monitors then one can run one from DVI or HDMI.

The other will have to run from DisplayPort directly or from an active DisplayPort to whatever connection they have adapter.

Trouble with my LG monitor is that it's got this fat rounded edge along the bottom, can see it here. So due to the way it sticks-out at the sides, it probably means I can't sit them side-by-side without having a gap between the screens. Which is why I was thinking of getting something different, possibly three of these, but I need to shop around a bit.

... but for the cable, yeah an Active DisplayPort to DVI seems to be what I'll need.

If you get 3 monitors such as the BenQ G2420HDBL then you can connect 2 directly to the DVI connections on the graphics card and the third via an active DisplayPort to DVI or VGA adapter.

I'd suggest DVI as it should give slighly better image quality.
