mate has just moved in and has a XBOX 360 and a crappy TV, i wanna play it and could use it on my 22" Samsung pc screen. just wondering cable i would need to do that and where to get one from?

What you want is the official VGA cable, you'll need separate speakers obviously. I've heard that third party brands tend to give poorer quality however I've not used one so I can't really comment apart from saying that my official cable is top notch.

You can get one from pretty much any high street store that sells consoles.

Official VGA as said, but if the monitor is already hooked upto a PC with decent speakers, you can either plug the VGA cable directly into the speakers if they have the correct input, or use your PC soundcards line-in connector.

Does it have DVI? Does the 360 have HDMI? I expect that would be better than VGA. You need a HDMI to DVI cable, but then there's the issue of sound, you could just use the optical mod for the standard cable that comes with the 360.

ok my samsung has dvi, so i need a xbox to dvi right? and sound can i use a line in standard cable from the xbox to my pc speakers?

so the samsung site says i have - Signal Input

* Input Video Signal: Analog RGB, DVI
* Sync. Type: Separate H/V, Composite , SOG
* Input Connectors: D-sub, DVI-D
* Plug & Play: DDC 2B
