what cable router has the best range?

guys i need a good wireless n router, i was using a buffalo 54g with tomato firmware and was getting 85% signal strength down stairs. but now we have a few wireless n device's and i want to upgrade. i recently got the superhub from virgin but the range on it is totaly pants and need something better. what would you recommend

Got the Asus RT N16 running Tomato. Its a fantastic router, great throughput and great wireless coverage. Wouldnt hesitate to recomend.

I can second that, great router compatible with dd-wrt as well as tomato and with external antenna's. Had a Netgear WNR3500L before that but the wireless signal was poor probably due to the internal antenna's

i ended up using two D-Link Dir-615's...connecting the second as a wireless repeater via DD-WRT. Wirelesss range is now 25-30m
