is this an 8 to 4 pin atx connector or

4 to 8 pin atx power connector?

4 to 8 pins by the looks of it. so that psu with only 4pins 12V+ can be used on mobos requiring 8pins 12V+, but tbh it should still work without this adapter.

Which i recieved today and the photo ^ is what i recieved

But i need it 8 to 4 pin. So whos in the wrong?

hmmm 8 to 4 pin adapter should have 8 pin female and 4 pin male??

Or maybe they described it the wrong way around.

Hi

The cable company are correct im affraid, you require an 8 pin female to 4 pin male, youve got the other cable.
