What cable?

Hello guys,

Recently acquired a DELL S2409W monitor off my brother and I want to get a new cable for it. It's got VGA/DVI/HDMI outputs. My graphics card can support VGA/DVI. Would it make any difference me getting a HDMI to DVI as opposed to getting a DVI to DVI?
