My Dad and I are a bit poorly and we've decided to 'keep moving and get out the house' etc with a little photography 'challenge' in our respective local areas using his old film camera and my mum's old film camera. The first theme is our cars.

So I need to source a few films. There are quite a few available online but what brands do people recommend? I will be doing cloudy day photography so what 'speed' film should I use?

I can't travel far (i.e. go into town to a shop) so can anyone recommend a postal service to get the film developed and photos returned but also digital version emailed across too?

The camera is a Yashica Electro 35.

What kind of apertures are you looking at and speed?
I assume you mean the film's iso?
Probably about 800 not knowing the above, gives you a bit of leeway with your shutter speeds also not knowing what you are aiming to photograph, no idea on what film is best though.

For dull days I would suggest an ISO 400 film but a steady hand would probably manage an ISO 200.

I haven't tried it, but for colour photos Kodak UltraMax 400 - 35mm Film seems to have good reviews on Analogue Wonderland.

For black and white I often use Ilford Delta 400 which gives nice results and is available in 35mm format.

Recently had a colour 120 film processed by Analogue Wonderland, seemed a tad pricy but had hi-res scans done, you log into your account to download the scans. Seem like a friendly company.
