Pretty sure nVidia has always supported full RGB, it's limited they have issues with and limited RGB still doesnt flipping work properly for me

AMD just works.

Not really fair to count the full RGB thing as NVidia has it now.
You could say that adaptive variable refresh rate (G-Sync) for video is one thing the other doesn't have, but only because you cannot buy a Freesync monitor yet, so that doesn't really count.

I cannot think of anything that one does that the other doesn't actually do.

my 970 outputs full RGB regardless of what i set. annoying relly - looks fine on my monitor, black crush everywhere on my tv

Check see if your TV support rgb full mate in settings you will have an opinion to change it.

You looked in the nvidia driver software they might be setting there.
