What can an A4 Avant legally tow?

Only reason I ask is that I am shipping a Skyline and trailer for a friend and the towing vehicle is likely to be the only thing around at the time which is an A4 Avant TD(aye)

I don't have the handbook and can't seem to find a straight answer on the interweb.

I would have thought this would be pushing the limits of any cars normal towing capacialy.

Trailer: 500kg
Car: KW1300kg +/-

Is this likely to be OK?

What age and engine?

01-04 Avant 1.9TDI (130ps) can do 750kg unbraked and 1600kg braked.

I don't believe skyline R32s are 1800KG!

Plus if it is the 2.5TDI quattro you can take 2000kg braked.

I do believe they are 1300 + the 500 trailer though

It may also be to much to tow on a normal license issued after '97. Istr that the max limit is 3.5t.

Yeah, but only upto the cars max towing limit. I also dont have issues with the licence as I past pre 97 rule
