Looking to the sound guru's to see if they can improve my audio setup.

My current PC audio set up is:

Speakers

Q acoustics 3020 which are run into a cheapo chinese Lepy 2020a amp which is connected by 3.5mm to the line out on my motherboard.

Headphones

Phillips SHP9500 which run through 3.5mm straight to the front IO headphone in.

This is handy as I can use windows audio source to switch between the two. This was a bigger pain to sort out than it should have been as windows and switchable audio sources is a nightmare and would try and play both simultaneously or one would go haywire.

I also use a HyperX Cloud II for gaming as I prefer those to the SHP9500 for games and inbuilt Mic. This uses USB so appears as a 3rd audio playback device and prefer to leave this alone.

Been looking at better amps/dacs etc. Preferably would like one that can take both the speakers and shp9500s and either has inbuilt switching or keep the current source switching through windows.

One thing I was looking at was:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/AD18-Bluetooth-Digital-Decoding-Amplifier/dp/B01M3ULDG9?th=1

This looks like it could take both as inputs and be switchable on the amp itself or the PC.

My motherboard is a asus b350f which also has an optical out. Should I look at using this instead of the aux out?

Most amps with headphone outputs will switch off the speakers as soon as you plug your headphones into the headphone socket. It looks like the SMSL amp will do this.
You'd be best to avoid the 3.5mm analogue and use optical or USB output from the PC and let the external DAC do the digital conversion.

The SMSL is probably the best bet if your budget is £123 but I suspect those speakers would benefit from an even better quality amp (costing more) but I don't have any specific recommendations. Perhaps others do.
