What Can I Do To Be Quieter?

Hey everyone,
I've recently overhauled my system [see spec] and I'm very happy with the performance. But my only gripe, is how much noise it makes. I was so used to using a quite Sempron setup, and now I've got all this noise!

The main culprit of the noise is the PSU; it's a racket. I'm going to RMA it, and get a replacement soon. But when I stop the PSU fan [stop wincing] it is still pretty loud in there. I'm using stock cooling on my CPU, and stock cooling on my GPU. I'm thinking of going for the Zalman coolers for the GPU, but that's about it. I don't know what a good CPU cooler is, or what I should be doing. I'm only running three recent hard drives max in my system, and they hardly make any noise. Has anyone got any suggestions? I will probably end up going for watercooling, but I don't feel my system is 'extreme' enough for that yet, nor is the level of noise. Cheers, Chris.

The Noctua CPU heatsink and fan is one of the quietest combinations ever. I have it installed and can't hear a thing. I'm also using a Corsair HX-520 which is also very quiet, and I have stock cooler on my graphics card. The case itself makes a big difference too. See if you can get some of that sound insulation. And see if you can minimize the amount of rattling metal parts. This is just me and my rig, but the fridge makes even more noise. I should think about changing that.

Hey everyone,
I have one case fan, an 80mm 'Artic Cooling' one, and it's sucking air out. The case itself looks to be unbranded [I got the base system given to me for helping out a local computer shop] but is big, and I always have the side panel off, just so I can see the pretty lights :P

Here's the GPU fans I'm looking at, this is what people use for the 4850 X2, and it's just a case of replacing the stock fans with two of those. That should help a lot, because the GPU isn't as quiet as I would like it to be. I am thinking of getting the 900-2 for my next case, as I think this will be very beneficial for me, in the sense of keeping the noise down and looking awesome :D Cheers, Chris.

To be honest, all I can say is that the noisiest thing in your case is that 4870, stupidly hot and stupidly noisy, just got rid of one of those for a BFG 260 oc, the difference was unbeleiveable
