So its not been 6 weeks and a CPU i bought from the bay died on me

Paypal refused to help me get a claim, i thought paypal had 180 days of protection, anyways

I bought as new retail i9 9820x cpu from OCUK so I get the 3 years warranty

now this 7920x I have, every time i install it it keeps on forcing the PC on safe mode, tried 3 new mobos same issue (not set on force safe mode boot)

Can this chip be repaired? its 100% faulty im sure of it but it seems a shame to just bin it

Lastly the new chip i bought, its a i9 9820x, on CPUz under "name" it displays the chip as "i9 7900"

then under "specification" its states the name as "i9 9820x"

why is this?

i may take Paypal to small claims because i was physically told that purchases on the 180 day protection policy is only for not received and not as described
