I've got a couple of old 3rd Gen Apple TV's sat on the shelf and wondered if there was anything useful I could do with them ?

Stream tv?

There's not much else for them really other than their primary purpose. If you have no requirement then maybe just sell them?

Yeah, I think that's the plan... probably only worth a tenner, if that.

It's such a shame that once superseeded that a nice bit of kit like that is so locked down that it just gets binned.

Are these non-4K?

As the 4K version can run the cycling app Zwift with a couple of limitations to connecting devices.

*EDIT* it may be the 3rd gen of the 4K Apple 4K that can run Zwift so maybe not then.

I think I'll try the bay, starting at 99p, and if not, then it's off to the recycle place.

Shame, as that remote has the nicest feeling in the hand of any remote

I wouldn't send back to Apple recycle, I'd use the local council facility.
But the charity shop is a great idea... I'm kinda hoping at 99p on the bay I find someone who would benefit from it.
