Xbox 360 Elite Console Brand New BOXED *JASPER MODEL* (#160404185110)

I have just done something completely stupid - I got myself an XBox 360 Elite jasper model off a well known auction. I bid for fun and never expected to win it for just over 100 quid. It is brand new in the box, but has no controller and hdd.

The problem is I have never played any console games and have no intension to start. Don't really have any friends who do either.

Shall I just resell it or is there anything else I can do with it?

i dont understand this part, are you saying that you just bid on things without the intention of wanting to win the auction?

to me that is just hiking the price for other real buyers

If you have not paid then you do not legally have to have it what ever ebay say.. If no payment has been made then no contract has been formed and you do not have to go through with the sale.

Wrong. Read eBay's T&Cs.

OP...Well done at getting it sorted. You got lucky!

Wrong. Read eBay's T&Cs.

The Law states that if no payment has been made then no contract has been agreed or entered into.. I,m sure the law is slightly above ebay,s T&C,s..

I found this out a while back when i was in a similar but slightly more complicated situation..

Dropped them an email. If they refuse to cancel the purchase I would get missing items and then see what i can do with it all.

If you actually intend to use it then fair enough, and you can use it for more than just games. If however you're buying the extra bits to sell it again that doesn't make sense you will just end up loosing more money.

I'm sure you'd get £80 for it anyway if relisted - maybe more as there are some fools out there :D

O.o

My launch arcade runs wireless controllers. It's true about the HDMI port, (Mine don't) BUT, I am using a HDD fine.

This. As far as I know, it's only the early arcade models that don't have HDMI. I bought a pre-owned with a 60GB hard drive, replaced with another one after a month because it RRoD on me, and only just discovered a year later that there's no HDMI port in the back of it. I wish I knew where the receipt was, but it's fine with wireless controllers nonetheless. That would have really taken the piddle.

Cores and Premiums didn't have an HDMI port in the beginning. My Premium doesn't have one.

Every system from day one could use Wireless pads. The Cores (first base model) came with a wired controller, but could still support wireless ones.

Yep, anything before the release of the elite/falcon chipsets did not have HDMI, premiums came with Component HD connectors whereas Cores came with composite.

None of the early models had HDMI. The Core supported wireless controllers but to save money shipped with a wired controller. It also was missing the HDD and HD component leads. The Pro came with a combo HD/SD lead, wireless controller and the 20GB HDD.

HDMi arrived in 2007 on the Elite and went mainstream on the Pro/Arcade as stocks of the older units ran down.

My launch-era Pro died about 6 months ago. Bought an arcade to replace it and transferred all the bits across. Plus it's faster to boot with the onboard flash RAM.

I remember buying the VGA cable from a store basically a day or 2 after launch. Damn... I literally got the last one they were so rare at the start. (Ms official)
