What can i get for £280 or less

Still got my 6870 from 2010, I am looking for something under £280 to go with my 2500K @ 4.5. I don't really care if it's AMD or Nvidia.

I was looking at the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 WindForce 3x for £275 and the Asus Radeon R9 280X DirectCUII for £281.

Are these ok or can i get something else cheaper for the same performance?

I would say save up another ~£30 or so and grab a 290

I would go for the R9 280X as its that bit more future proof with 3GB, where as the 770 has only 2GB especially for gaming, as they both have similar performance.

Can i unlock that into the 290x? and how much do you think BF4 would sell for? i already own the game.

If it's selling for £20 or more i would get the 290

I don't think the sapphire flashes to 290x, the free games should easily net you around £35-40 on the mm

GTX 770 £260 or Sapphire R9 280X £255 or **B Grade** Gigabyte ATI Radeon HD 7970 £192

The 7970 / R9 280X has more vRam than the GTX 770 and is faster at higher res. but other than that they are about the same.

Good choice, will see a pretty big improvement over your 6870

If buying right now then a 280x or 290 would be the cards to look out for. Its a bad time too buy though supply simply is not keeping up with demand so prices are high
