Been running my Acer XB270HU now for a couple of years which I picked up 2nd hand for around £400 if memory serves but just thinking I would like to upgrade in the near future but there's nothing out there tempting me right now, I have tried 21:9 in the past and I'm not all that keen on it.
Fully prepared to go close to £1000 when the right monitor comes along, so what is coming in 2018 that might lighten my bank account?
I have seen these new models from Acer/Asus/AOC that are 144hz, 4k, HDR and G-Sync that look like the best contenders - whatever I get it must be G-Sync. I'm not sure if 4k is what I need though as I've tried that briefly too and my FPS is just not where I want it - I could use 4k for desktop and game at 1440p I guess.
Anything else coming over the hill next year? Even 2019 if need be.
