what can i upgrade from my system spec?

I actually want to buy a brand new system in 2019 but i want to stretch my current system till then would upgrading my graphics card be an option and what to?

if you got the budget then whack a 1070 or even 1080 in the system assuming its the one in your sig,...

better yet find a 2600K and fit that then overclock it aswell, with the hyperthreading it might be more beneficial

Depends was Res, 1080p then yes, even with OC 1st/2nd gen intels aren't as good as 3rd onwards . If 1440p/4k shouldn't be to bad. Running higher settings then normal will get the GPU working harder . If you are 1080p then upscale in game resolution.

Depends upon the game. But you will see a huge boost and you can carry the GPU forward to your next system.

What if i slap on a 2nd 680 gtx i might be able to get one from ebay for 50 quid will my power supply able to handle it?

850W? Easily. But I think that a second GTX 680 is the wrong move. You are currently VRAM-limited in games; a GTX 1070 will not be. And a single-card solution is always preferable.
