Hello, I have a e8400 cpu 3ghz. What could I upgrade this to as my processor is now about 2 years old. I do not want to replace the mobo as I did this last time. Any thoughts on this please.

I can get 4.6ghz overclock pretty much after that the machine does not boot. Do i need to be buying a bigger cooler fan for my e8400 in order to get above 3.6 My mobo is a gigabyte ep45-ds3. I also got 2x2gb ddim ddr2 pc2-6400u which i would like to overclock too is this possible?

i tried the 425 and 1.3v as suggested but my computer did a blue screen of death lol and dumped it somewhere to my hard drive. Would anyone be able to make head of tail of the dump? if so where do i locate the dump file lol.

the cpu is about 2years old but i chose a version that was good to clock. the memory is 2x 2gb dimm DDR2 PC2-6400u Again this memory was called something gold from OC and again made to be over clocked. I am not sure what the numbers in the bios for the memory should be I got it at 5 5 5 5 15 or something? no idea if that is correct ? The cooler is the standard cooler i had with the cpu. Is there a non expensive good cooler that will fit the 775 socket?
