hello got a p8p67 pro and a i7-2600 but i dont know what else says on box

S-spec SR00B does anyone know what it can clock to on this board many thanks , and how can you tell the diference to K version as my friend has got 1 but it doesnt say K on box?

anyone know thanks.

The S-SPEC SR00B is the plain 2600, which is not overclockable unfortunately. The S-SPEC for the unlocked 2600K would be SR00C

You should be able to adjust the turbo boost multipliers to give you some extra performance.

The standard turbo boost multipliers are:

1 core utilised 3.8GHz (x38)
2 cores utilised 3.7HGz (x37)
3 cores utilised 3.6HGz (x36)
4 cores utilised 3.5HGz (x35)

You should be able to change these in the BIOS to:

1 core utilised 4.2GHz (x42)
2 cores utilised 4.1HGz (x41)
3 cores utilised 4.0HGz (x40)
4 cores utilised 3.9HGz (x39)

hi many thanks for that i got it to run nice without trying on 4.1 i like it still very fast compared to my 6 core amd ,i like this chip better seems to have more power.

cinebench 64 get 7.91 at 3.5ghz my old amd only got 5.5 lol at 4.2 ghz so defo seems better feels smoother aswell.

and black ops is running well quick.
