What cans have you got?

Had a pair of Grado RS1's and sold them to buy the Senny HD650's that i use now. Sometimes i miss the RS1's but i have no complaints with the HD650's.

I got the Medusa speedlink pro 5.1's for gaming.

For music listening I have the JVC-RX900's. Surprised nobody else has them, they are an awesome set of headphones for the price. I modded them as well, so they sound way better!! :-)

Sennheiser HD555s

mine are getting a bit old now. I saw that i can get replacement ear pads for £15 and i might do that, you can even send them in for a service, chargeable of course but might be cheaper than buying new ones. My two year warranty ended in may :(

Don't put things into perspective like that!:p

I consider myself out of the audiophile game for now, I have other financial commitments so I can't upgrade my gear any time soon.:(

lol i don't think you'll need to!

I think thats a fair view of the C5's The bass certainly gets a lot better after a bit of use however they fit my ears quite well which is more that can be said to other brands. So i took a punt. Plus the 5yr warranty helps as i seem to break earphones regularly!

Shame theres very rarely a way to try earphones out prior to purchase

Yeah it's a shame there aren't shops like in Japan where there are endless headphones and IEMs out on display ready to be listened to.

You can read 100 reviews of a product but until you hear it yourself you just don't know. That is why I collected so many different IEMs/headphones trying to find my ideal sound. The review of the C5 I read is from a pretty trustworthy source though. He has reviewed over 200 IEMs from budget to high-end so he should know a thing or two about describing sound.

Got shure E5c for mobile use, had them a few years and they still sound damn fine, and for home a set of Grado 325is :)

Sleek audio ct6 for when out and about, fantastic for reference stuff.

But full size a lowly pair of sony mdr xd300?

But anyway toying with getting some hd650's, or ultrasone pro 900's

So far the ultrasone's are winning, as i can use them in the evenings.
