What car do you always get stuck behind?

This has been bugging me for a while now and i was wondering if anyones noticed anything similar! :) I'd say quite honestly at least 75% of extremely stupidly slow cars (ie 20mph hovering along a 30mph or worse! or 40mph on a bi-pass road with nothing ahead) are citroens! always citroens for some reason! and if in the distance..you see something even slower! its undoubtably only one car. What else could it possibly be but a nissan micra!! it doesn't matter which generation..they're ALWAYS blocking your way!

Am i going mad or has anyone noticed this? :D

Depends on what type of road, but on anything not dual carriageway/motorway, it's generally everything....:p

I follow the same old codger every Wednesday night for 10 miles in a Fiat Tempra. He does a maximum speed of 50mph. Whenever there's traffic coming the other way he slows to 40 and swerves practically onto the grass verge as if to avoid the oncoming traffic.

Really makes me cross, me off when I'm rumbling along a single carriageway A road @ 40 MPH (the legal limit) and I get held up by cars / vans of whatever description.

It amazes me when I have to brake as the car / van ahead is braking for a bend that I don't have any need to brake for, despite weighing as much as 44 times the weight of the car!!!

People see bends & brake, never mind thinking if they actually need to brake!

The roads are full of morons !

You should really lay off the beer... :p

I usually end up stuck behind typical 'old people' cars - Rover 25s, Perodua Nippas, etc! Generally going up hill when they're struggling along in 5th gear and there's nowhere to overtake :(.

More and more i seem to be getting stuck behind pickup trucks and 7.5 tonne wagon on the motorway in the outside lane, more often than not i have to undertake these muppets (and thats doing a mere 75 mph).

I can identify with that.

There's an old fella drives a red Hyundai Accent that I somehow always end up behind on my commute to work on a nightshift.

He sits at around 20-30mph and brakes seriously hard for any slight bend in the road, down to about 10mph, then crawls slowly back up to 30 ish.

Strange thing is, when he gets to a 30mph area, he often tends to speed up to around 50mph.

I get the feeling he is more comfortable driving under street lights in urban zones than out on the open and unlit roads, hence the speed up.

The guy is never positioned correctly for roundabouts etc and to be honest, whilst it annoys me somewhat, I feel kinda sorry for him. He's obviously got no confidence at all under certain road conditions, which makes me feel that he should perhaps be thinking about giving up driving before he comes a cropper. Or maybe he has always driven like this?. I dunno.
