New or used i dont mind. Just duno what the cards are like today and im moving to a intel setup (from a amd x2 3800 with hd 3850 setup). Im hoping for a quad like a q6600 possibly, i have a asus p5kc mb already just waiting on sale of 2 cpus and mb as already sold me hd3850 and 2gb geil ram.

Really hoping to play gta 4 nicely with new setup.

I do like my aa tho so thats important to me, 4x will do in games. Dont need silly amounts as only got a 1280x960 res 19" crt.
 
Sorry i guess i should have refined my answer a bit more.

Looking for 1gb ram on them cos of gta 4 and some other games requiring ton of gfx mem.
 
Stretch to around £132 then, and get the 1gb 4870 or GTX 260-216, as you wont find a better card than that 4870 512mb for £100, its a fair bit faster than every other card for that price.
 
U reckon its possible to get a gtx 260 (new core) for 100 notes used? As someone linked me to them on ocuk site they look tempting for 130 but i dont think ill have 130 but perhaps 100 at a stretch for one. Would these be considered good to go with a Q6600 and 4gb ddr2 8500?
 
Was wondering what ppl think i should get. I mainly play at 1280x960res or up to 1600x1200 if the game runs ok at that res).

Would a gtx 260 be overkill or not, if it is what would be reasonable at them res. Making sure it plays gta 4 well tho.
